CAPstart Market Update
July 2003
Welcome to the CAPstart Market newsletter
Investor Briefings
We are intending to introduce Investor
briefings over the next few months so that CAPstart listed entrepreneurs
can make personal presentations. We will keep you advised.
CAPstart listing -
summary to date
CAPstart Market have only listed 21
investment opportunities out of 556 initial applications
since commencing in February 2002.
8 have raised all the capital required
3 have raised part of the capital required
2 have been withdrawn
3 are under negotiation
We believe therefore the CAPstart template
and review system produces listed opportunities of interest to private
equity investors.
A major issue is that many of the other
proposals that did not make it through the system at this time could be
good. We believe that many of them could be investment ready if they had
an experienced relevant industry investor or "mentor" to guide
them through all the commercialisation issues. It would be hoped that the
investor or mentor may well be able to add value and go on to take
an interest in the project. If you would like to look at interesting
proposals that may suit your background please send us by email a paragraph or two
on your background and aims.
